001// THE PROJECT

Kicking off 2020, Jauz was set to release the single Bring Em Back to launch the release of his Dangerous Waters EP ahead of his Dangerous Waters tour. He contacted Immanent about putting together a video for the single’s release, and Drew at Immanent brought me on board to direct and animate the music video.

002// THE CONCEPT

Inspired by the EP and Single titles, we created an undersea rescue adventure story for the video. Our protagonist is a submarine venturing deep into the ocean to locate a captive ship that’s being held in a hostile territory. Our submarine has to fend off attacks from undersea enemies including sharks with frickin laser beams attached to their heads. The amazing sound design in the breakdowns serves as a perfect choreography for the laser battle sequence, and our ships narrowly escape back to safety.
